Screen Studio is macOS-only. Here is the honest version of what your options are on Windows — including the parts where Screen Studio is still ahead.
The short answer: Screen Studio does not run on Windows. Its own site calls it a “Professional screen recorder for macOS,” and its FAQ carries the question “Is the Windows version ready?” — the demand is known, the build is not shipping.
On Windows, the behaviour people actually want from Screen Studio — a recording that zooms in on what you clicked and comes out looking edited — is available from several tools now, including Mousify, FocuSee, Pane Studio, Screenra and the open-source Cap.
Two years ago, “the recorder zooms in by itself” was the whole pitch. Today every serious tool in this category does it. If you are choosing between Windows options, comparing zoom quality will not get you far — they are all close enough.
The question that actually separates them is: how much of the rest of the edit does it finish? Zoom is one decision out of many. A finished video also needs the dead air cut, the idle stretches sped up, subtitles written and aligned, and — if you did not talk while recording — narration written and voiced.

If you are on a Mac, this comparison is easy: use Screen Studio. It is a mature, well-made product and two of its features have no Mousify equivalent at all.
This is the decisive one. Screen Studio is not an option here at any price.
This is the difference that is not about zoom. Screen Studio transcribes the audio you recorded. If you were working quietly — no microphone, no script, just doing the task — there is nothing to transcribe.
Mousify reads the recording itself and drafts narration from what happened on screen, then voices it with on-device text-to-speech. You never have to narrate while you work, and you never have to appear on camera. Every line it drafts is editable before anything is spoken.
Screen Studio's cheapest tier is $9/month billed annually — about $108 a year, every year. Mousify is $25.99 once. If you make a handful of videos a month, the arithmetic is not close.
Transcription and voiceover run on-device. Cloud voices and the digital-human avatar are optional and use your own provider account — billed by that provider, not marked up by us.
On macOS: use Screen Studio. Nothing here is an argument against it.
On Windows: pick based on how much of the edit you want handled. If you narrate as you work and want a shareable link at the end, look at the tools built around that. If you record in silence and want the finished video — cut, zoomed, subtitled and voiced — that is the case Mousify was built for.
